Where a band's calculation comes below ₹1,500, the ₹1,500 minimum applies. The illustrative bands are up to 50 kg, over 50 to 150 kg, over 150 to 500 kg and over 500 kg. Chargeable Weight: Why a Light Box Can Cost More
A carton full of pillows weighs very little but takes up a lot of space in the vehicle. So luggage and parcel services usually charge on chargeable weight, which is the higher of two numbers: what the piece actually weighs on the scale, and a size-based weight worked out from length × width × height divided by a fixed figure called the divisor.
There is no single divisor that every company uses. Some use one figure for parcels, others price truck space in cubic feet, and some quote per piece. Always ask which basis your quote is using, and check that the box sizes written on it match your real boxes.
You send 3 cartons, each 60 × 45 × 45 cm, each weighing 12 kg on the scale. Suppose the quote uses a divisor of 5,000.

PG or Hostel Checkout Before You Have Hyderabad Keys

Is luggage shifting cheaper than hiring packers and movers?
For a few bags or a single room, yes, usually by a good margin, because you only pay for your share of the vehicle and the handling your items need. Once you have furniture and appliances like a bed, fridge or washing machine, a household shifting quote is the right comparison, since those need a different vehicle and team.
Do you provide packing materials?
Yes. If you choose packing in the quote, the team brings cartons, bubble wrap, stretch film and tape. Suitcases are stretch-wrapped and tagged. Multi-layer packing for fragile items costs about ₹100–₹350 per box. If you prefer to pack yourself, that's fine too; just use strong boxes and tape them well.
What is part-load luggage transport and is it safe?
Part-load means the shipment shares vehicle space with other goods. Confirm packing, separation, numbered pieces, any transfer points, receipt counts and the delivery window. These controls help you check the shipment, but no mode guarantees zero damage. Any available transit cover has its own declared-value terms, exclusions and claim procedure.
Can I track my luggage during transit?
You get a booking reference and can call or WhatsApp us for the current status of your shipment at any point. If you need to change the receiver or delivery time, inform us as early as possible, ideally before dispatch.
Are there hidden charges or GST on top?
Compare one complete quote listing collection, packing, linehaul, delivery, stairs or long carry, cover if selected and applicable tax. Confirm which charges are already included, and how waiting, a second destination, changed inventory or storage would be priced before accepting extra work. A low freight figure alone is not the full payable amount.
What if my luggage gets damaged during transport?
Count and check your pieces at delivery and write any damage or missing piece on the delivery receipt with photos before signing. If you find damage after unpacking, inform us as soon as possible with photos. How a claim is handled depends on whether you took transit cover and the declared value, and the steps and time limits are given in your quote and our terms.
Which areas in Bangalore are covered for luggage pickup?
We pick up from most areas including HSR Layout, BTM Layout, Koramangala, Electronic City, Whitefield, Marathahalli, Bellandur, JP Nagar, Jayanagar, Indiranagar, Hebbal, Yelahanka, Malleshwaram and Yeshwanthpur. Pickup time is fixed with you when you book. Share your pin code to confirm.
Can I book pickup before my Hyderabad room is ready?
Discuss delaying pickup, an authorised temporary receiver or any available holding arrangement before dispatch. Confirm acceptance, location, duration, handling and redelivery charges; storage is not automatically included. Keep clothes, medicines, your laptop and essential documents for the first few days with you.
Can one pickup be delivered to two addresses in Hyderabad?
Ask whether the selected service can accept two drop points on your dates. If agreed, use separate carton codes and receiver details, record both addresses and any extra local delivery charge in the quote, and have each receiver check only their own pieces.
Can I send pickles, sweets or other food items?
Declare the exact contents before booking and obtain the selected service’s acceptance. Liquids, pickles, ghee, oils and glass need particular assessment because a leak can affect other shipments; there is no blanket acceptance of food. Do not send cooked or perishable food, and follow the approved packing instructions for anything accepted.
Is bus parcel or courier better than door-to-door luggage shifting?
For one or two bags near a bus point, bus parcel or courier can be cheaper. With bus parcel you usually drop and collect at their offices yourself, and with courier there are per-box weight and size limits. For several cartons, stairs, or a receiver who can't go to a counter, door-to-door shifting usually saves time and effort.
