Packing a bike for a 570 km road trip is not about using the maximum number of layers. It is about covering the parts that actually get rubbed or knocked during loading and on the highway: the fuel tank, headlamp, indicators, mirrors, levers, silencer and side panels, and on scooters the front apron and floorboard edges.

Foam where it matters
EPE foam on the tank, headlamp, console and painted panels, with bubble sheet over it. Stretch film goes over the packing, not tape directly on paint or chrome.
Mirrors and levers
If your model allows it and you agree, mirrors are removed, wrapped and listed in the inventory. Otherwise they are padded in place. Levers are cushioned, never forced into a position.
Silencer and protruding parts
Corrugated sheet and foam roll on the silencer, footpegs, crash guard and accessories that stick out, so they don't press against the next vehicle on the carrier.

Exact areas, not just city names
Yelahanka is already on the north side near the way out to NH44. Electronic City or Whitefield means crossing the city first. In Hyderabad, a drop near Shamshabad is close to where the highway meets the ORR, while Kukatpally or Secunderabad means more city running.
Date and season
Month-end, long weekends and festival periods like Dasara, Diwali and Sankranti are busy on this route. Booking a few days early gives you more choice of pickup dates.

Bangalore to Hyderabad Route and Realistic Transit Time
The road route most carriers use is NH44. From Bangalore it heads north past Devanahalli and Chikkaballapur, enters Andhra Pradesh and runs through the Anantapur and Kurnool stretch, then crosses into Telangana past Jadcherla and Shadnagar to reach Hyderabad's southern side near Shamshabad. City to city it is roughly 570 km. Your actual distance depends on where in Bangalore the bike is picked up and where in Hyderabad it is delivered.
Why door-to-door time is more than driving time
You can drive this route in a car in one day. A bike on a carrier follows a different clock, and it helps to know each part of it:
- Pickup slot: the day and time your bike is packed and collected in Bangalore.
- Consolidation: on an open or shared carrier, the bike may wait at the loading point till the vehicle is ready to leave with other vehicles.
- Dispatch and highway run: the NH44 run itself, usually around a day, depending on traffic, weather and halts.
- Unloading and last mile: unloading in Hyderabad and delivery to your address, often on a smaller vehicle if the carrier can't enter your area.
- Receiver availability: delivery happens when you or your receiver is actually there.

Pickup from Yelahanka, Hebbal or Hennur is close to the airport road, which is also the way out to NH44. From Electronic City, HSR Layout, Sarjapur Road or Whitefield, the pickup vehicle has to cross the city first, so peak-hour traffic matters. Many gated societies and tech parks in Whitefield and Electronic City also have fixed timings for goods vehicles.
Hyderabad delivery side
Hyderabad is not one drop point. Shamshabad and the airport side are near where NH44 meets the ORR. Gachibowli, Kondapur and HITEC City are on the western IT side, Kukatpally and Miyapur further north-west, Secunderabad and Alwal towards the north-east, and LB Nagar and Dilsukhnagar in the east. Each means a different city route, and some lanes don't allow a big truck.

Please don't try to push or ride the bike up stairs or a steep ramp to make loading easier. If it can't come to the loading point safely, tell us and we will plan for it.

This is a very common situation. You joined the new office on Monday and the bike is still parked at your Bangalore PG or with a flatmate. It works fine if the handover at both ends is planned.
In Bangalore: your pickup person
- Choose one person, a friend, flatmate or family member, who will be present at pickup. Share their name and number with us.
- Confirm the required authority and document copies with the booking team and share them privately; the nominated person must know which bike and accessories to release.
- Hand over all keys. If the steering lock, seat or tank has a separate key, mention it.
- Join on a video call during the condition check, or at least get the photos: all sides, the odometer, and a list of what goes with the bike, like helmet, mirrors, charger or saddle bag.
- No original documents inside the packing. Originals stay with you.
In Hyderabad: your receiver
- If you can't be there at delivery, nominate a receiver and share their name and number. Confirm any required receiver identification privately with the booking team.
- The receiver should check the bike against the pickup photos before signing, and write any shortage or damage on the delivery receipt itself.
- If nobody can receive on the delivery day, ask in advance about storage or a redelivery charge, so it doesn't come as a surprise.
Keep the four dates separate
Your own travel date, the pickup date, the dispatch date and the delivery date are four different things. Write all of them down. People often book pickup for the day they leave Bangalore and expect the bike the next morning. Plan with the 2 to 4 day window instead.
Plan your first few days of commute
Keep a small budget for cabs, autos or the Hyderabad Metro for the first few days, especially if you are joining on a Monday and the bike is picked up the weekend before. After delivery, check tyre pressure, brakes and the battery before the first ride. Many people search for bike parcel by train because the freight looks cheaper. Both options can work. The fair way to decide is to compare the same scope: from your Bangalore parking to your Hyderabad parking, including packing, trips to and from the station, waiting time and who handles the bike at each point.
How Indian Railways handles two-wheelers
- If you are travelling on the same train, the bike can go as luggage against your journey ticket. Loading depends on space being available on that train.
- If you are not travelling with it, it goes as parcel.
- You need an RC copy and a government ID. The bike has to be properly packed, the petrol tank must be empty, and the station labels and forwarding note have to be done.

Shipping your bike and re-registering it are two separate questions. For the transport, the carrier needs your RC copy and ID. If you are going to keep the bike in Telangana for a long time, check with the RTO about NOC, re-registration and road tax for your situation.
As per Parivahan's guidance, a No Objection Certificate is applied for in Form 28 under Section 48 of the Motor Vehicles Act, to the registering authority where the bike is currently registered, along with the required documents and fees. Requirements can vary by state, so a fixed time limit or timeline you read online may not apply to you. Confirm with the RTO before you plan around it.

Shipping the bike and re-registering it are separate questions. For the transport, the carrier needs your RC copy and ID. If you will keep the bike in Telangana long term, check with the RTO about NOC, re-registration and road tax. As per Parivahan, the NOC is applied for in Form 28 to the authority where the bike is registered, with documents and fees, and state requirements can vary.

What if I find damage after the bike is unpacked?
Inform us immediately with photos, preferably the same day, and keep the packing material till it is checked. If you took transit cover, the claim follows that cover's terms and timelines. Read those terms before booking, because no carrier can promise a settlement amount or time in advance.
