We are Packers and Movers from Bangalore, working out of HSR Layout. For the Bangalore to Pune route we handle household shifting (1RK to 4BHK), work-from-home setups, small office moves, car and bike transport, and the receiving side in Pune — from Hinjawadi and Wakad on the west to Kharadi, Viman Nagar and Hadapsar on the east. Every move starts with a survey of what you actually own, and the estimate you get is written for that inventory, that mode and those two addresses.

Bangalore to Pune Shifting Charges: Planning Guide
These are planning ranges for house shifting charges from Bangalore to Pune, based on the kind of inventory we usually see in each home size. They are meant to help you budget and to sanity-check quotes — they are not a fixed company tariff. Your actual figure depends on the assessed inventory and volume, the mode (shared or dedicated), packing level, access at both buildings, the date, and whether you add car, bike, AC or setup work.
| Move type | Typical inventory | Shared load | Dedicated truck | Planning window (confirm start point) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1RK / 1BHK | Bed, wardrobe, fridge, washing machine, desk with one or two monitors, 15–25 cartons | ₹8,000 – ₹15,000 | ₹18,000 – ₹28,000 | Dedicated 2–3 days · Shared 5–8 days |
| 2BHK | Full furniture, 1–2 ACs, washing machine, dining set, home office desk, 30–50 cartons | ₹14,000 – ₹25,000 | ₹28,000 – ₹45,000 | Dedicated 2–3 days · Shared 5–8 days |
| 3BHK / 4BHK | Full household, 3 or more ACs, gym equipment, large wardrobes, 50–80+ cartons | ₹22,000 – ₹38,000 | ₹42,000 – ₹72,000 | Dedicated 2–3 days · Shared 6–10 days |
| Small office | Workstations, chairs, IT equipment, storage units, files | Usually not suitable | ₹35,000 – ₹85,000 | Dedicated 2–3 days, weekend moves on request |
| Vehicle and mode | Planning charge | Confirm before booking |
|---|---|---|
| Car: open carrier | ₹8,000–₹14,000 | Actual model, loading clearance, carrier slot and collection/drop legs |
| Car: enclosed carrier | ₹14,000–₹22,000 | Enclosed carriage does not automatically mean an exclusive vehicle; confirm the actual arrangement |
| Commuter bike or scooter | ₹4,000–₹8,000 | Dedicated bike carriage or a household-load addition, packing/crate if assessed, and both service legs |
Vehicle movement is commonly planned at 3–4 days, subject to the reserved carrier and receiving appointment. Heavy bikes, EVs, premium cars and non-running vehicles require model-specific assessment. Confirm the start point of the quoted window; vehicles may arrive separately from the household goods.
Heavy bikes, electric scooters and bikes, premium cars and very large or unusual items (piano, large aquarium, marble-top furniture, home gym machines) are quoted after we see them, because the packing, loading equipment and space they need varies a lot.
What is included and what may be extra
Two quotes with the same headline number can cover very different work. Before you book anyone — including us — make sure the written estimate says clearly, line by line, which of these are included and which are additional:
- Packing materials and labour — cartons, bubble wrap, foam sheets, corrugated rolls, stretch film, and the team that packs.
- Dismantling and reassembly — beds, wardrobes, dining tables, study tables. Modular furniture with many fittings takes longer.
- Loading and unloading — including how many floors, whether a lift is available and how far the truck can come.
- Transport — shared load or dedicated truck, and the truck size.
- Tolls — included in the figure or charged on actuals.
- GST — shown separately or included. Ask for it to be written, not explained over the phone.
- Transit cover — optional, at what rate, on what declared value, with what exclusions.
- AC uninstallation and reinstallation — usually per unit, and gas top-up is separate if needed.
- Long carry, stairs and shuttle — if the truck cannot reach the tower, goods may need to be carried or moved in a smaller vehicle.
- Unpacking and placement — full unpacking, kitchen only, or just unloading into rooms.
- Setup help — TV wall mounting, washing machine connection, technician for electronics — these are usually separate jobs.
Why your Bangalore to Pune moving cost can differ from someone else's
Two families in similar 2BHK flats can end up with quite different bills. The reasons are almost always practical:
- Volume, not BHK, drives cost. A 2BHK with a sofa set, a six-door wardrobe, a treadmill and 60 cartons needs more truck space than a lightly furnished 2BHK with 25 cartons.
- Mode. A shared load splits the truck cost with other consignments; a dedicated truck is yours alone and moves on your schedule.
- Packing level. Fully packed by our team, partly self-packed (clothes and books in your own suitcases), or special packing for glass, art and electronics.
- Access at both ends. Lift size, service gate, basement height, parking distance, stair turns. A truck that can stand right at the tower costs less in labour than one parked 150 metres away.
- Distance between the actual gates. A pickup in Yelahanka and drop in Hinjawadi is a different run from Electronic City to Hadapsar, even though both are "Bangalore to Pune".
- Date. Month-end and weekends are busy; mid-month weekdays are usually easier to schedule.
- Add-ons. Car, bike, ACs, storage, technician visits.
Few items, PG rooms and students
If you are moving out of a PG or a shared flat with a few cartons, a mattress, a suitcase or two and maybe a bike, a full truck is not what you need. We send such goods in a shared load, but there is a minimum chargeable volume in any shared consignment, so the cost per carton for a very small shipment is higher than for a 2BHK. Send us a photo or list of what you have — cartons, approximate sizes, any furniture — and we will tell you honestly whether it makes sense to send it with us, as a parcel, or to sell a few things in Bengaluru and buy again in Pune.
Shared Load, Dedicated Truck or Separate Vehicle Carrier?
Most people choose between these based on budget, but the real question is how much control you need over the delivery date. Here is how the three options compare on this route:
| Point | Shared load (part load) | Dedicated truck | Car / bike carrier |
|---|---|---|---|
| Best for | Flexible dates, smaller budgets, 1RK–2BHK, few-item senders | Fixed joining dates, larger homes, WFH equipment, offices | Vehicles you are not driving down yourself |
| Who else is on the truck | Other consignments heading the same way | Only your goods | Other vehicles |
| Delivery date control | A window, not a fixed day | Much closer to your planned day | Window; usually arrives separately from household goods |
| Handling | More stops and transfers possible | Confirm direct movement and any necessary access transfer | Loaded and secured on the carrier |
| Cost | Lower | Higher | Separate charge per vehicle |
One thing to keep in mind: a full-service house shift (packing, loading, transport, unloading, reassembly) and a freight-only or carrier-only booking are different jobs. If someone quotes you a very low figure for "Bangalore to Pune", check whether it is only the truck — in which case packing, loading and unloading are on you.
How Many Days Does Bangalore to Pune Shifting Take?
The honest answer is: it depends which clock you are looking at. Maps show a car doing Bangalore to Pune in roughly 14.5 hours. A loaded goods vehicle is a different thing — it moves slower, the driver needs rest, city entry can be restricted at certain hours, and in Pune the truck has to match your building's receiving slot. So we break the move into stages:
| Stage | What happens | Typical time | What can stretch it |
|---|---|---|---|
| Survey and booking | Video or home survey, inventory list, written estimate, date blocked | Agree the survey appointment and estimate turnaround for the actual inventory | Inventory not final, dates not confirmed |
| Packing | Item-wise packing, dismantling, labelling | 1BHK–2BHK usually one day; larger homes may need more | Large wardrobes, fragile collections, last-minute additions |
| Loading and pickup | Goods loaded, inventory checked and signed | Same day as packing in most cases | Lift booking slots, parking distance, society timings |
| Consolidation (shared only) | Your goods wait for other Pune-bound consignments | A few days | Low volume on that week's Pune loads |
| Road transit | Truck runs the corridor allowed for goods vehicles, with driver rest | Longer than the car time on maps | Weather, road works, diversions, city entry windows |
| Pune receiving | Truck reaches your gate in the agreed slot, goods unloaded | Planned as an appointment | Building timings, lift availability, receiver not present |
| Unpacking and setup | Reassembly, unpacking, placement as agreed | Few hours to a full day | Modular furniture, scope added on the day |
For planning, allow 2–3 days from dedicated dispatch to the planned Pune delivery appointment. Shared loads may need 5–8 days from pickup to delivery, or 6–10 days for a larger shared inventory; confirm any consolidation wait within that estimate. Packing, loading, unpacking and technician setup need their own appointments. A separately booked car or bike carrier is commonly planned at 3–4 days. These ranges depend on the allotted vehicle, actual corridor and receiving access.
The road itself
When we checked driving routes on maps in October 2026, three options came up between Bengaluru and Pune: about 838 km on NH48, about 870 km via NH50/NH65, and about 912 km on a Mumbai–Satara Highway/NH48 combination. For budgeting, treat the distance as roughly 840–950 km, because the real figure depends on the exact pickup gate, the delivery gate (west Pune and east Pune are not the same drive) and the corridor a goods vehicle is permitted to use on that date. We do not fix a town sequence or a halt point in advance; the route is confirmed for the vehicle before dispatch, after checking road conditions and any diversions.
Monsoon, heat and covered unloading
From June to September the western stretch of this route gets heavy rain, and Pune itself has wet afternoons. Rain does not stop moves, but it changes how we pack and unload: extra stretch film on furniture, mattresses in covers, cartons kept off the floor, and unloading under a covered area — a porch, stilt parking or the building lobby — wherever possible. If your Pune building has no covered space near the lift, tell us at the survey so we plan for it. In the summer months, keep heat-sensitive items such as candles, certain cosmetics, wax art, vinyl records and some medicines with you rather than in the truck; a goods vehicle is not a climate-controlled space, and we don't pretend otherwise. For electronics and instruments, follow the manufacturer's storage temperature guidance.
What a Full-Service Bangalore to Pune House Shift Includes
Here is what happens on a typical full-service move with us, step by step. You can drop any step you want to handle yourself — the estimate changes accordingly.
- Survey. A video call or a home visit where we go room by room. We note large furniture, appliances, fragile items, electronics, and access details at your Bengaluru building. If you send a video, include the lift, the corridor and the parking area — that matters as much as the furniture.
- Written estimate. Inventory-based, with mode, packing level, inclusions and extras listed. If you add things later, we revise the estimate before loading, not after.
- Packing. Item-wise, with the right material for each type of item (see the table below). Every carton is numbered and marked with the room it goes to in Pune.
- Dismantling. Beds, wardrobes, dining tables and study tables are opened up where needed. Screws and fittings go into bags labelled to the inventory item, without adhesive on finished surfaces.
- Loading and inventory. Heavy items go in first, fragile items are secured, and you sign the inventory list with the condition of key items noted.
- Transit. Shared or dedicated, as booked. Your coordinator keeps you updated.
- Unloading in Pune. In the slot agreed with your building, room by room according to the carton labels.
- Reassembly and unpacking. Furniture put back together; unpacking as agreed — full, kitchen only, or none.
- Placement and debris. Furniture placed where you want it, and packing waste collected if that is part of the scope.
How different items are packed
| Item | How we pack it | What you can do before packing day |
|---|---|---|
| Crockery and glassware | Each piece wrapped, packed upright in double-wall cartons with cushioning, marked fragile | Set aside what you will use on the last two days |
| LED/LCD TV | Original supports if available; otherwise assess rigid support, corner protection and orientation according to the manufacturer | Keep the remote and stand screws in one bag |
| Fridge | Wrapped in foam and stretch film, doors secured, carried upright | Prepare, defrost and dry according to the particular model’s instructions |
| Washing machine | Drum secured as per the model, wrapped and loaded upright | Drain fully; find the transit bolts if you have them |
| Wardrobes and beds | Dismantled where needed, panels wrapped and edge-protected, fittings bagged | Empty drawers; keep keys with you |
| Sofa and mattresses | Stretch film plus corrugated wrap; mattresses in covers | Remove loose cushions and covers you want to wash |
| Books and files | Small cartons so they stay liftable | Sort what you are taking and what you are donating |
| Plants | Acceptance depends on the particular plant, packing, journey and applicable carriage requirements | Discuss soil, moisture containment and acceptance before loading; arrange separate transport if unsuitable |
Moving a Work-From-Home Setup from Bangalore to Pune
A lot of people on this route are IT professionals, and many of them have a desk setup that took months to get right — two or three monitors, a good chair, a standing desk, a desktop with a proper GPU, maybe a NAS in the corner. Moving that is less about "electronics packing" and more about doing things in the right order so that the setup comes back to life in Pune without surprises. Here is how we approach it.
Before we touch anything: your backup and shutdown
Take a fresh backup of anything that matters — work laptops as per your company's policy, personal PCs, NAS volumes — and shut down every machine properly yourself. If you have a NAS or a home server, follow the manufacturer's shutdown steps. We do not log into your devices, access your data or handle passwords, and we don't need to. If your employer has rules about moving company-issued equipment, check with your IT team before packing day.
Monitors, ultrawides, arms and stands
- Original boxes and foam inserts are the best protection — if you kept them, keep them handy.
- Without the original box, each monitor is wrapped with screen-safe material (no tape or adhesive on the screen or on finished surfaces), cushioned in a carton or with foam and corrugated board, and carried upright. Ultrawide and curved screens get extra support along the length.
- Monitor arms and stands are removed, and each one's screws, VESA plates and clamps go into a bag labelled with that monitor's position — "left", "centre", "right" — so reassembly is not a guessing game.
- We photograph your cable layout before disconnecting. You might want to take your own photos too.
Ergonomic chairs and standing desks
Premium ergonomic chairs and motorised standing desks have mechanisms that are best handled the way the manufacturer recommends. Chairs are wrapped as a whole, mesh seats and backs are protected from snagging, and the chair travels upright where truck loading allows. Standing desks are lowered, the control box and cables are wrapped and bagged separately, and the frame is protected at the edges. We do not remove gas lifts or open desk motors — if your desk needs to come apart beyond the standard top-and-frame separation, the manufacturer's guide or an authorised service person should do it.
Desktops with custom GPUs, NAS units, home servers and UPS
A tower PC with a heavy graphics card or a NAS full of drives can take a beating on a long road run if it is packed loosely. These are padded on all sides in a carton with foam, and where the size, value or weight justifies it, we assess them for a wooden crate. A few rules we follow:
- We do not remove hard drives, GPUs or batteries ourselves. If you want drives or a GPU taken out for separate travel, you or an authorised technician should do it. Anything you remove is packed in anti-static bags with padding, and carton-labelled accordingly.
- Keep the most important drive with you. If there is one disk you cannot afford to lose, carry it in your own bag.
- UPS units are disconnected by you or a technician, kept upright, terminals protected. Large inverter or lithium batteries are assessed separately because their packing and carriage depend on the battery type and the manufacturer's guidance.
Audio gear, drawing tablets, webcams, cables and streaming kit
Headphones, mics, audio interfaces, drawing tablets, webcams and capture cards go into their original boxes where available, or into foam-lined cartons. Cables, chargers, dongles and adapters are the things that usually go missing — we bag them by device and label each bag ("monitor 2 – USB-C + power", "audio interface – XLR, USB"). One carton marked Desk – open first holds all of it.
Router, mesh units and network ports
Before unplugging, we photograph which cable went into which port on your router, switch or mesh node, and put matching labels on the cables. We don't record Wi-Fi passwords or network settings — that stays with you. One thing people often miss: if the router belongs to your Bengaluru internet provider, it usually needs to be returned to them, so set it aside before it gets packed into a carton by mistake.
Your first workday in Pune
The setup comes back fastest when the Pune flat is ready for it:
- Book your Pune internet connection a week or two ahead, and ask the society which providers already have lines in your tower.
- Check there are enough sockets near where the desk will go, and whether the flat has power backup.
- Pack a small first-workday bag that travels with you: laptop, charger, headset, a mobile hotspot plan, and any token or ID your office needs.
- If you would like a technician to help reconnect a complex setup in Pune, tell us at the survey and we will quote it as a separate job. We don't promise a set "back online in X minutes" time — it depends on your setup and the Pune flat — but we will get the physical side right so you are not hunting for screws.
Office and IT Asset Relocation from Bangalore to Pune
An office move is not a bigger house move. The goods are business assets, the documents are different, and the receiving side has to be organised by department so people can start work. For small and mid-sized offices moving from Bengaluru to Pune, we work like this:
- Asset list first. Your admin or IT team shares the asset list with serial numbers. We label each item to match, so you can reconcile at the Pune end.
- Department and desk labels. Cartons and equipment are colour-coded or labelled by department and desk number. If you share the Pune floor plan, we unload straight to the right area.
- Confidential files stay in your custody. Your team seals file cartons; we move them sealed and don't open or sort them. If you want a staff member to travel with sensitive material or carry it separately, we plan around that.
- IT equipment shutdown is done by your IT team or vendor. Servers and network racks are packed after they are powered down and, where needed, assessed for crating.
- Business paperwork. Office goods move on a tax invoice or delivery challan as applicable, with an e-way bill where GST rules require one. Your accounts team usually generates these; we tell you what details we need on them. This is different from household goods — see the documents section below.
- Timing. Agree packing, dispatch and the actual office receiving appointment around the dedicated delivery window and permissions at both buildings. A weekend collection alone does not establish a Monday opening commitment.
Car and Bike Transport from Bangalore to Pune
If you are not driving down yourself, your car or bike can go on a carrier. Vehicles usually travel separately from household goods and reach on a different day, so plan for a few days without them in Pune.
Car transport
- Open carrier (planning range ₹8,000 – ₹14,000) — multiple cars on a car carrier; suits most hatchbacks, sedans and SUVs.
- Enclosed carrier (planning range ₹14,000 – ₹22,000) — for owners who want the car covered during transit.
- Premium, very low-clearance and modified cars are quoted after we know the model, because the loading method may change.
- At pickup we record the car's condition with photos and note the odometer reading. You check it again at delivery before signing.
- Remove valuables and loose items, record the condition and odometer, and agree FASTag handling and any authorised driven collection/drop legs. Follow the assigned carrier’s fuel/battery preparation with manufacturer guidance.
Bike transport
- Commuter bikes and scooters (planning range ₹4,000 – ₹8,000) are packed with protection on the tank, handles, mirrors and panels. Crating is used where the bike's value or the shipment type needs it — not by default for every bike.
- Heavy bikes, superbikes and electric two-wheelers are quoted separately; EV batteries are handled according to the manufacturer's guidance.
- Mirrors and accessories you want removed are packed and labelled. Keep the key, spare key and documents with you unless we ask for a copy.
For more on two-wheeler costs, see our bike transport charges guide.
Documents and registration
Keep the RC, valid insurance and PUC ready; we need copies for transport. If you are settling in Pune for the long term, a Karnataka-registered vehicle will eventually need re-registration in Maharashtra, which starts with a NOC from your Bengaluru RTO and is completed at the Pune RTO. The exact process, timelines and road tax treatment are set by the transport departments and do change, so check the current requirements on the Parivahan portal or with the RTO before you plan around them. Vehicles on a BH-series number follow different rules.
Receiving Your Goods in Pune: West Side vs East Side
"Pune" on a booking form is not an address. The city's IT and residential belts sit on two quite different sides, and the delivery plan changes with the side you are moving to. We plan the Pune leg around your exact building, gate and tower — not around one city pin.
| Area group | Localities | What to confirm before the truck leaves Bengaluru |
|---|---|---|
| West — IT park side | Hinjawadi (also written Hinjewadi) Phase 1, Phase 2, Phase 3 | Exact phase and plot or society name, which gate takes goods vehicles, tower number, lift size, receiving hours, who will be present |
| West — residential | Wakad, Baner, Balewadi | Whether a large truck can enter the campus or must park outside, basement or podium clearance, carry distance to the lift, any shuttle needed |
| East — IT and airport side | Kharadi, Viman Nagar | Service entrance location, goods lift booking, parking for the truck during unloading, receiving hours |
| South-east — township side | Hadapsar, Magarpatta, Amanora | Township gate rules for goods vehicles, which vehicle size is allowed inside, tower-level lift booking, permission letter if required |
Write the Pune address the way the gate understands it
In large campuses and townships, "Hinjawadi, Pune" is not enough for a truck driver. Phase and plot matter. Look at how a government office in the IT park writes its address — STPI Pune lists itself at Plot P1, Phase 1, Rajiv Gandhi Infotech Park, MIDC Hinjawadi, Pune 411057. That is the level of detail you want on your delivery address too: society or building name, tower, flat number, phase or sector, plot if applicable, landmark and the gate number goods vehicles use. (We use STPI's address only as a format example — they are not our client or partner, and an office's public visiting hours have nothing to do with when a residential society accepts goods.)
Society access: what actually decides the delivery plan
Every Pune society sets its own move-in rules, and they change. Some want a permission letter or NOC from the owner, some want the lift booked a day or two in advance, some take a refundable deposit, and many restrict move-ins to certain hours or days. We don't assume any of this — we ask you to check with your society office or facility manager and share the answers with us. The things we need to know:
- Which gate is the service or goods gate, and its timings
- Whether the truck can enter, and the clearance height for basement or podium entry
- Where the truck can park during unloading, and the carry distance from there to the lift
- Lift size and whether it is a goods lift or a passenger lift that needs protection
- Stair turns, if any large item has to go by stairs
- Any permission letter, deposit or advance booking needed, and who has to submit it
If the truck cannot reach the tower, goods may need a longer carry or a shuttle in a smaller vehicle. These are charged on what is actually needed — distance, floors, vehicle — and we tell you at the survey stage if your building is likely to need it, so it is not a surprise on delivery day.
The receiver appointment
Someone with the flat keys and the authority to sign has to be at the Pune address when the truck reaches. If you are flying in on the same day or a day later, tell us — we time the delivery appointment around your arrival or around a family member or friend who can receive on your behalf. A truck that reaches a locked flat has to wait or come back, and that costs both time and money.
Pickup from Your Bengaluru Area
We pick up from across Bengaluru. Each area has its own practical details — the Outer Ring Road traffic around Marathahalli and Bellandur, large gated communities in Whitefield and Electronic City, narrow lanes and independent houses in parts of Koramangala, Indiranagar and Jayanagar, and the north-side apartments of Hebbal and Yelahanka. Our own office is in HSR Layout.
On the Bengaluru side, check three things early: your society's move-out permission and lift booking, your landlord's handover date (and the deposit inspection), and whether the truck can stand close to your block. Share these with us at the survey.
If Your Pune Flat Is Not Ready on Time
It happens more than you would think — possession slips by a week, the painter is still working, or the rental starts on the 5th but your Bengaluru lease ends on the 30th. If there is a gap, we can arrange holding for your goods, subject to space on your dates. Before you agree to storage with anyone, get these in writing:
- Where the goods will be held and what kind of facility it is
- The rate basis — per month, per cubic foot, or per consignment — and the minimum period
- Handling charges for unloading into storage and reloading out of it
- What cover applies while goods are in storage, if any, and on what declared value
- The redelivery charge to your Pune address and how much notice you need to give
Short gaps of a day or two are sometimes simpler to manage by delaying dispatch from Bengaluru, if your move-out date allows. We will suggest whichever works out better for your situation.
Documents for Interstate Shifting from Bangalore to Pune
Household goods
Under the current GST rules, used personal and household effects are listed among goods for which an e-way bill is not required. So for a normal family house shift, you generally do not need an e-way bill. What travels with the goods is:
- The consignment note (LR / bilti) we issue, with both addresses
- The packing list or inventory with carton numbers
- A copy of your ID and address proof for both ends
- A self-declaration that the goods are your used personal household items, if we ask for it
New, unused goods in their boxes, or anything that is stock for a business, is treated differently — tell us if your shipment has such items.
Office and business goods
Business assets need a tax invoice or delivery challan as applicable, and an e-way bill where the GST rules require it based on the nature and value of goods. Your accounts team or CA should generate these; we share the vehicle and consignment details they need.
Vehicles
Copies of the RC, valid insurance and PUC, plus your ID. See the car and bike section for the re-registration note.
For your Pune society
Many societies ask for the rent agreement or ownership papers, ID, and sometimes a permission letter from the owner. Check what yours needs.
Transit Cover and Damage Records
Packing reduces handling risks, and transit cover has its own insured events, exclusions and claim requirements. Understand both before the move. Cover is optional, and the terms depend on the policy arranged for your shipment. Ask for these details in writing:
- Who provides the cover and what the rate is
- How the declared value is set — usually by you, item-wise or overall
- What is covered and what is excluded (self-packed cartons, pre-existing damage, mechanical or electrical faults are common exclusions)
- The excess or deductible, if any
- How and by when you must report damage — including damage you only notice while unpacking a carton after the truck has left
- What documents a claim needs
Condition records protect you. At pickup, photograph expensive furniture, appliances and electronics, and make sure existing scratches or dents are noted on the inventory. At delivery, check items before signing, write any visible damage on the delivery receipt, and photograph it. If something turns up later while unpacking, inform us straightaway with photos and the carton number.
Bangalore to Pune Moving Checklist

Special situations
- Moving into a furnished rental in Pune: you may not need your bed, sofa or fridge. Sell them in Bengaluru and save on truck space.
- Leaving a furnished flat in Bengaluru: tag the landlord's items clearly so they don't get packed with yours.
- Family moving back to Pune: if part of the household is going to a parents' home and part to a new flat, tell us — identify both drop addresses, inventory splits and any additional delivery cost before dispatch.
- Few items: see the few items and PG note above.
How to Compare Bangalore to Pune Moving Quotes on the Same Scope
A lower quote isn't automatically worse, and a higher one isn't automatically better. The only fair comparison is on the same scope. Ask every mover for a written estimate that covers the same inventory and the same list of inclusions, then compare. Here is an illustrative example — these numbers are made up to show the method, they are not anyone's actual invoice:
| Line item | Quote A | Quote B |
|---|---|---|
| Headline figure | ₹21,500 | ₹24,000 |
| Packing and materials | Included | Included |
| Tolls | On actuals, extra | Included |
| GST | Not mentioned | Shown separately |
| Two AC units | Extra, per unit | Uninstall included, reinstall extra |
| Unpacking | Not included | Kitchen unpacking included |
| Transit cover | Not mentioned | Optional, rate stated |
In this example, you cannot say which is cheaper until Quote A fills in the blanks. Once both are on the same lines, the real difference often turns out to be much smaller — or reversed. While comparing, also check:
- The inventory used for each quote is the same (same number of cartons and large items)
- The mode is the same — shared vs dedicated changes everything
- The payment schedule — how much at booking, how much at delivery
- A physical office address, a GSTIN and a written estimate on company letterhead or email
- What happens if your date changes
Items That Need Special Handling or Should Travel with You
- Do not pack: filled gas cylinders, petrol or diesel cans, paint thinner, kerosene, acids, firecrackers and other flammable or hazardous material. For your LPG connection, speak to your gas distributor about the transfer process.
- Keep with you: cash, jewellery, important documents, passports, work laptops, the one hard disk you can't lose, regular medicines.
