Bengaluru localities for local shifting
The sixteen locality pages below are grouped by part of the city only to make them easier to scan. The groups are not BBMP zones, depots or service boundaries, and your move is planned from your actual address, not the group name. A move from Indiranagar to Jayanagar is one local job; you only need the page for the area you are moving from.
East Bengaluru and the Outer Ring Road side
Whitefield and the Outer Ring Road belt are large, with many gated societies and tech parks close together. Give the road and the nearest landmark, such as Varthur Road, ITPL Main Road or the junction closest to you, along with the society and tower name.
South-east Bengaluru
Sarjapur Road is a long corridor and Electronic City includes different phases, so either name alone is not an address. For Electronic City, say whether you are in Phase 1 or Phase 2. For Sarjapur Road, give the apartment name and the nearest junction. Koramangala and HSR Layout addresses are quicker to place with the block or sector number.
South Bengaluru
JP Nagar is split into phases and Jayanagar into numbered blocks, and both make a real difference when the crew is looking for your building. For Bannerghatta Road, add the cross road or a nearby landmark, because the road runs a long way beyond the older layouts.
North Bengaluru
Many addresses here are in newer layouts and apartment projects set back from the main roads. Share the project name, tower and the gate the vehicle should use, and tell us if the approach road is narrow or under construction.
West and north-west Bengaluru
These are older, closely built areas where independent houses and narrow cross roads are common. Give the main and cross road numbers, and say whether a truck can stop near your gate or goods must be carried from the end of the lane.
Intercity routes from Bangalore
Route pages are named by destination city. Moves to Mysore, Mangalore, Hubballi Dharwad and Belagavi stay within Karnataka, so they are intercity rather than interstate, but they are planned the same way: packing in Bengaluru, road transport, and delivery at your new address.
Each route page, and the related articles in our moving guides, gives indicative distance, transit and cost figures for that particular route. Use them for planning only. They are not a booking commitment; the date, vehicle and charges are confirmed in your written estimate once we know your items and both addresses.
You can usually choose between two ways of sending household goods. In a shared vehicle, your packed goods travel with other consignments going the same way, so the dispatch date depends on when a load for that route is ready. A dedicated vehicle carries only your goods and is scheduled separately, which usually costs more. Which option is available on your date is confirmed when you book, along with how delivery at the destination will be arranged and who will call you before arrival.

Even within Karnataka, route length and the load can change the plan. Ask whether pickup and delivery can fit in one schedule for your date, and check move-in rules at the new building just as you would in Bengaluru.

Mumbai and Pune moves often end in tall buildings with fixed society timings, so ask about lift booking and move-in rules early. For Goa, give the town or village, the taluka and a landmark rather than just "Goa".

Longer routes where a shared load may need more lead time. If you will travel separately, decide early who will receive the goods at the new house.
North India and Delhi NCR
Delhi, Gurgaon, Noida and Ghaziabad each have their own page because they are separate cities for delivery, in three different states or territories. Give the exact sector, block or society rather than just "NCR". Chandigarh is a union territory and is listed on its own.

If you are only sending a car, a bike, or some boxes and suitcases to Hyderabad, use the dedicated service page instead of the household route page. Ask for the pickup arrangement and price for that service, and mention whether household goods are moving too.
Address and access details at both ends
Three practical causes of moving-day delays are: the crew cannot find the building, the vehicle cannot reach the gate, or nobody is ready to receive the goods at the other end. Sharing these details in advance helps the team plan for them.
Give the full address, not just the area name
"Whitefield", "Electronic City" or "Sarjapur Road" covers thousands of homes. Share the flat or house number, tower or block, society name, road, phase or sector, PIN code and a nearby landmark, and send a map pin if you can. Two example formats follow; they are illustrations, not customer addresses.
- Instead of "Electronic City": Flat 704, Tower B, [society name], Neeladri Road, Electronic City Phase 1, Bengaluru 560100. Vehicle entry from the service road gate.
- Instead of "JP Nagar": House 21, 15th Cross, JP Nagar 6th Phase, Bengaluru 560078, opposite [landmark]. Truck can stop on the main road; 40 metres carry to the door.
Lifts, stairs and parking
If you have a tall fridge, a large sofa or a wardrobe that cannot be dismantled, check the service lift's door and cabin size, and ask whether the lift must be booked with the facility manager. Tell us how far the truck can stand from your door, because carrying goods from a basement or a distant parking bay needs more time and more hands. If your society asks for a move-out permission, gate pass or no-dues letter, arrange it before moving day.
The delivery end
Ask the new building about move-in timings and lift booking in the same way. For a rented house, confirm when you will get the keys. If you will not be at the destination yourself, name a person who can receive the goods, check them against the inventory and sign the delivery receipt.
What a move normally includes
A household move usually covers packing materials, packing by the crew, loading, transport, unloading and placing items in the rooms you choose. Unpacking, dismantling and refitting furniture, and taking down TVs or wall fixtures should be mentioned when you ask for an estimate so they are written into it. Anything not in the written estimate should be discussed before moving day.
Transit cover and condition records
Transit cover is optional and depends on the terms offered for your move. Before accepting it, ask what the declared value means, what is excluded and how a claim is made. With or without cover, photograph costly items before packing and keep a copy of the inventory. If something arrives damaged, note it on the delivery receipt, take photographs and send them to us. My society falls between two listed areas. Which page should I use?
Use whichever page is closer, or simply contact us. The page you start from does not change the plan; the estimate is based on your full address, building access and items, not on the locality name.
Is a move from Bangalore to Mysore or Mangalore treated as local shifting?
No. Moves to other Karnataka cities such as Mysore, Mangalore, Hubballi Dharwad and Belagavi are intercity moves. Open the route page for your destination city rather than a Bengaluru locality page.
Where can I check the distance, transit time and charges for my route?
Each route page and the related moving guides give indicative figures for that route. They are for planning and are not a booking commitment. The actual date, vehicle and charges are confirmed in your written estimate.
What is the difference between a shared and a dedicated vehicle?
In a shared vehicle your goods travel with other consignments going the same way, so the dispatch date depends on when a load is ready. A dedicated vehicle carries only your goods, is scheduled separately and usually costs more. Availability of either option for your date is confirmed at booking.
Do I need to book the service lift or take permission from my society?
In many apartment buildings, yes, at both the pickup and delivery end. Ask the facility manager or association about lift booking, moving hours and any gate pass or no-dues letter, and share those timings with us before the moving day.
Is transit insurance included automatically?
No. Transit cover is optional and depends on the terms offered for your move. Ask about the declared value, exclusions and claim process before accepting it, and keep photographs and the inventory list whether or not you take cover.
