People often see "8 hours" on Google Maps and expect the furniture the same evening. That is car driving time. A house move has several separate steps, and each one takes its own time.

Cars and bikes move on their own carrier schedule, usually 3 to 7 days from pickup. Your quote will mention the expected window. Heavy rain, highway work and festival traffic can stretch it, and we will tell you if that happens rather than give a date we cannot keep.

Route and distance: Bangalore to Thrissur by road

There is no single route. Depending on where in Bangalore we load and where in Thrissur we unload, the road distance usually can be planned at roughly 405–480 km for the actual gates and permitted vehicle corridor. The common options are:

Pathayam and wooden chests

Kerala gets the south-west monsoon (Edavappathy) from June, and the north-east rains (Thulavarsham) around October and November. You can still move, but plan for it:

• At the Thrissur end, unload under a sit-out, porch or tarpaulin, not in an open courtyard.
