- Distance and route: Plan around 2,150–2,250 km, depending on both addresses and the assigned corridor. A common NH44 approach passes Anantapur, Kurnool, Hyderabad, Nagpur, Sagar, Jhansi, Gwalior and Agra towards the appropriate Delhi or NCR entry. Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana are distinct parts of the southern approach; Kurnool is not the Karnataka–Telangana border. Confirm the actual bypass and endpoint before dispatch.

Complete House Shifting: 1 BHK to 4 BHK and Villa
Include every room, balcony and storage area in the survey. Beds, wardrobes, dining sets, large appliances, books, glass, a mandir and a home-office setup change both usable truck capacity and handling. Measure large pieces and identify landlord-owned items that stay behind. A BHK label is a starting point, not a measured inventory.
Agree packing, loading, freight, unloading, room placement and permitted reassembly. List modular wardrobes/kitchens, wall-mounted units, stone tops and heavy antiques separately: some need a qualified installer, specialist equipment or a different handling plan. Furniture work is not automatically free or feasible for every construction.

For scheduling, use approximately 4–6 days for a dedicated packing-to-delivery plan and 7–10 days for shared movement, with actual dispatch and receiving confirmed. Do not add a consolidation allowance again if it is already included in the stated pickup-to-delivery window.
A date-sensitive dedicated arrangement may attract a different quote. A budgeting allowance of ₹8,000–₹15,000 was used in the express comparison: around ₹8,000 for a small 1 BHK, ₹10,000–₹12,000 for 2 BHK and ₹12,000–₹15,000 for a larger home. These are optional planning references, not automatic surcharges or a guaranteed 3–4 day service. Confirm the offered capacity, permitted route and dated scope before relying on it.
For WFH or company equipment, identify what you need before your first working day. Carry essential work items as your employer permits and keep temporary connectivity and accommodation options separate from the household delivery estimate.

Get any long-carry, crating, second vehicle, lift protection, waiting or redelivery charge clarified before dispatch. Highway toll, municipal toll and Delhi ECC are separate questions. Do not assume a flat state-entry tax, universal GST percentage, automatic cover or included transfer from a general price table.

Car scheduling was guided at around 5–7 days and bike scheduling around 4–6 days, but confirm the actual clock: home collection, carrier loading and final delivery are different stages. They need not match the household window.

- Southern approach: the NH44 corridor passes Andhra Pradesh towards Hyderabad. Packing time and city exit need their own allowance; do not treat the first 570 km as an automatic overnight company run.
- Central corridor: progress through the Nagpur–Sagar–Jhansi side depends on the assigned route, driver breaks, road conditions and any handling plan.
- Delhi/NCR approach: confirm the actual endpoint, permitted vehicle and entry route, then check the ETA before booking a service lift or labour.
- Delivery: count packages, check condition and agreed assembly, and follow the accepted payment and selected-cover process.
Delhi Truck Entry Rules in 2026: What Actually Affects Your Delivery
The final approach deserves attention before the long-haul truck leaves Bengaluru. A highway ETA does not establish permission to enter a Delhi road or unload in a residential building. Agree these points together:
1. No Entry hours
Delhi Traffic Police restrictions depend on the goods-vehicle category, road and current notification. Special events can change access. Check any required No Entry permission and permitted approach for the assigned vehicle, and match it with the building’s unloading slot. Do not assume every truck can enter only after one universal evening hour.
2. Environment Compensation Charge (ECC)
Environment Compensation Charge (ECC) and municipal toll are distinct from highway tolls. Confirm the current charge category, applicability and any exemption for the actual vehicle and route, then have the estimate state whether these are included or itemised. The May 2026 Delhi notification revised ECC rates; neither a car toll total nor a generic per-truck figure establishes the payable amount for every move.
3. Current emissions and GRAP requirements
Check the current CAQM direction, active GRAP stage, vehicle class, emission standard, registration and actual route before dispatch. The schedule was revised in September 2026 and entry provisions have also had transitional amendments. A household move must not be assumed exempt. Use an eligible vehicle and a confirmed receiving window rather than relying on one old blanket ban or a fixed October–January rule.
How we plan the last mile
- Night delivery: If your society allows night unloading, confirm whether the assigned vehicle and road are permitted at that time.
- Day delivery through transfer: If your society allows unloading only in the day, agree a suitable transfer location, eligible smaller vehicle, package-count handover and cost in advance.
- Permissions: Confirm responsibility for any required traffic permission, toll/ECC treatment, building gate pass and service-lift booking. A quote does not establish an owned Delhi branch or transfer depot.
Delhi NCT and NCR: Give the Exact Destination
The state, sector, pocket, block and gate affect the final approach and quote. An NCR address does not automatically require entry into Delhi NCT. Confirm the permitted route and delivery leg for the actual receiving point rather than assuming one flat NCR price.

Send photographs of a tight lane, stair turn, low gate or sloping approach during the survey. If a smaller transfer vehicle is needed, agree a safe location, eligible vehicle, counts at both handovers and its cost before dispatch.
Builder Floors, DDA Flats, Gurgaon Towers: Delivery Is Different Everywhere
Measure the actual entrance, lift and stair turns at the receiving property. A builder floor, a DDA block and a high-rise have different handling needs. Share the building’s rules and photographs of awkward access before the truck leaves Bengaluru.
Builder floors (South and West Delhi)
For Lajpat Nagar, Malviya Nagar, Rajouri Garden, Janakpuri or Punjabi Bagh builder floors, confirm the exact floor, lift, stair width and landing turns. A large sofa or double-door fridge may need disassembly or a specialist lifting assessment. Balcony lifting is not an automatic service: suitable equipment, permissions and safe feasibility must be established before booking.
DDA flats (Dwarka, Rohini, Vasant Kunj)
For a Dwarka, Rohini or Vasant Kunj DDA address, give the sector, pocket, block, flat and correct gate. Check the actual lift and staircase as facilities differ between blocks. Agree a permitted stopping point, carrying distance and any extra labour or shuttle rather than assuming the main truck reaches the entrance.
High-rise societies (Gurgaon, Noida, Greater Noida)
Most societies on Golf Course Extension, Sohna Road, Noida Expressway and Greater Noida West ask for a move-in form, a fixed lift slot and sometimes a refundable deposit. Some allow unloading only between morning and evening. Send us the society rules and we plan around them.
Old Delhi and narrow lanes
For Old Delhi, Karol Bagh or an inner-lane address, share the exact approach and local receiving contact. If the assigned truck cannot enter, agree a safe transfer point, eligible smaller vehicle, package-count check and carrying plan. Traffic access and stopping permissions need checking for the actual date.
Delhi Cantt and defence areas
For delivery inside cantonment areas, the vehicle and crew need gate entry. Share the unit or station contact a few days in advance and we coordinate the entry pass.
On the Bangalore side
Big societies in Whitefield, Sarjapur Road and Bellandur often fix move-out timings and need a gate pass from the association office. For HSR, Koramangala and BTM, we try to load early in the morning to avoid the Silk Board jam.
Packing for a Long Road Journey: Furniture, Screens and Fragile Goods
Use an item-specific plan for several days of handling and road movement. Pack dry goods in dry conditions, check the vehicle and covered staging, and agree how packages are separated, supported and restrained. No fixed layer count turns ordinary transport into climate-controlled or waterproof storage.
Furniture and Heavy Wooden Pieces
Protect polished wood and a heavy almirah with finish-compatible contact material, padding and edge support. Keep adhesive off finished surfaces and agree permitted dismantling. Bag and label fittings by item and room. Assess glass tops, stone pieces, antique furniture and a carved mandir for rigid support or a surveyed crate. Check the largest piece against both lifts, doors and stair landings before loading.
Monitors, Workstations and Appliances
Back up data and get employer approval for company devices. Photograph cable connections, label ports and keep fittings together. Use original screen cartons where possible, or suitable corners, cushioning and rigid support that avoid panel pressure. Gaming-PC internals, NAS/servers, UPS/batteries and standing-desk motors need manufacturer or qualified IT guidance; do not apply one drive-removal, chemical or thermal-wrap recipe to every device.
Prepare, drain/defrost, dry and fit appliance transit parts as the model requires. Keep a first-workday kit with you. After delivery, follow the model’s settling/reconnection guidance and use qualified electrical, refrigerant, wall-mounting and plumbing specialists for the actual task.
Glassware, Books and Room Labels
Wrap fragile pieces individually, use dividers/void fill and suitable cartons or supports, and separate them from dense loads. Split a book collection into manageable cartons and protect carton bottoms. Label room, package number and necessary orientation to match the inventory. Keep important originals, valuables and daily medicines with you.
For a family arriving before the truck, carry children’s essentials, bedding, chargers and a basic first-night kit separately. A good packing plan includes what must stay available during the journey, not just what fits in the vehicle.
Sending Only a Few Boxes from Bangalore to Delhi? Your Options Compared
Not everybody needs a truck. If you are a student, a bachelor on a short assignment, or sending some things ahead of the family, here is a straight comparison.

Compare the complete service for your shipment. Furniture and appliances need suitable packing and handling; for cartons or luggage, compare chargeable weight, dimensions, collection and final delivery. A low station-to-station or transport-only price is not the same scope as a door-to-door packed move.
Documents for Household Goods and Business Assets
Used personal and household effects are exempt from the e-way bill requirement under Rule 138(14). Keep the signed inventory, self-declaration, consignment note and carrier-requested identity or address documents. The exemption does not remove every paperwork requirement.
Office assets, new items or business stock need a separate accounts assessment. Check the applicable e-way bill, invoice or delivery-challan requirements, thresholds and exemptions for the actual consignment before dispatch. If transit cover is selected, keep the issued policy and declared-value details with the inventory. Confirm any required entry permission and retain the delivery receipt with any shortage or damage noted.
Car and Bike Shipping versus Permission to Use Them in Delhi
Check the age of your vehicle first
Before arranging a carrier, check the current Delhi/NCR age, emission, fuel and registration eligibility for your particular car or bike. Transport acceptance does not establish that it may legally be driven or registered after arrival. Rules and court directions can change; resolve eligibility before deciding whether to ship, sell or keep the vehicle elsewhere.
Reassignment, tax and documents are separate checks
Shipping a vehicle does not establish permission to use or register it in Delhi. Check current age, emission, registration and fuel restrictions for the actual vehicle and intended destination before paying for transport. Section 47 concerns reassignment when a vehicle is kept in another state for more than 12 months; that is not a blanket exemption from tax, eligibility or local restrictions. Form 28 concerns the NOC and Form 27 the new registration mark. Confirm the authority’s current documents, address, tax and any financier requirements. Karnataka tax refunds depend on eligibility, time limits, documents and approval.
Keep a copy of our LR for the vehicle. RTOs sometimes ask how and when the vehicle came to Delhi.
If you get transferred often
If your employment involves transfers, ask HR and the registering authority about current BH-series eligibility, conversion and tax requirements. A valid BH-series arrangement has different interstate reassignment treatment, but eligibility cannot be assumed from a relocation quote or a general job description.
Before we pick up your vehicle
- Follow the carrier’s fuel and EV-battery preparation instructions
- Remove loose items, music system face plates, and helmets (we pack helmets separately)
- Keep originals with you and provide the required document copies; confirm the checklist before pickup.
- Note the odometer reading and take photos of all four sides with us at pickup
Transit Cover, Delayed Keys and Damage Checks
Confirm the Actual Cover
Ask for the policy that would be issued, the insurer, premium, declared value, deductible, covered stages and exclusions. Confirm whether packing, loading, unloading, storage and any vehicle leg are covered. A full-value declaration is not an automatic full-replacement guarantee. Keep the policy, inventory and claims contact with your booking records.
If Your New Home Is Not Ready
Tell the coordinator before dispatch if possession, painting or keys may be delayed. Agree the available holding location, period, access, inventory, rate basis, minimum charge, cover and handling/redelivery costs. The storage budgeting reference of ₹300–₹800/day depends on volume and availability; it does not establish an owned Faridabad/Gurugram warehouse or climate control. Reconfirm the receiving slot before goods are released.
At Delivery and During Later Unpacking
- Count packages against the inventory and check visible furniture, screens, glass and vulnerable cartons where practical. Record wet cartons, shortage or damage on the delivery receipt before signing.
- If an issue appears during later unpacking, stop with that package, photograph the item, label and outer packing and retain the material. Report promptly through the agreed contact.
- Keep the LR, accepted quote, invoice, payment records, inventory, photos and cover documents. Follow the applicable terms and assessment steps; do not infer a universal 48-hour deadline, internal repair guarantee or fixed settlement date.
Moving on Transfer? Bills for Your Relocation Claim
If you are moving on a company, government, bank or defence transfer, check the employer’s eligibility and document format before booking. The transport bill and your reimbursement approval are separate. Missing names, service details or required supporting documents can delay assessment.
Ask which of the following your employer needs, and agree the documents with the moving team:
- The appropriate invoice or bill with the actual recipient, both addresses and service date; supplier GSTIN and tax details where applicable
- Lorry Receipt (LR) with item count, declared value and truck number
- Itemised packing list, and truck size and distance details if your employer asks for them
- Separate line items for car or bike transport, since many policies reimburse vehicles under a different head
- Genuine independent comparison quotations if your employer requires them; one business should not be presented as multiple independent bidders
Share your claim format and billing name at survey stage. Check truck or volume details, vehicle charges, inventory, consignment note, receipts and invoice requirements before packing. We are not IBA approved; if your employer requires an approved mover, confirm eligibility before booking. A correctly formatted bill cannot guarantee reimbursement.
Eight Ways to Compare a Lower Complete Moving Cost
- Compare actual dates. Ask for like-for-like weekday, weekend and mid-month quotes with the same inventory and access; do not assume a fixed discount.
- Declutter before the survey. Compare the cost of keeping a bulky piece against selling/donating/replacing it. A reduction can change capacity but has no fixed saving per ten kilograms.
- Compare shared space for a small load. Include consolidation time, packing, transfers and final-door handling in the comparison.
- Choose optional unpacking deliberately. Check which room placement and reassembly are included, and whether you can safely unpack suitable cartons yourself.
- Ask about self-packing. Discuss clothes, books or other suitable non-fragile items, carton supply/charges, labelling and the effect on cover. Do not assume free boxes or that every self-packed item is accepted.
- Compare combined and separate vehicle quotes. Match carrier, collection/drop and cover scope; household and vehicle goods may still travel on separate schedules.
- Resolve the last mile early. Confirm gates, lift, keys and receiver to reduce avoidable waiting or a second visit. Any charge still needs an agreed basis.
