Intercity Shifting Charges from Bannerghatta Road

For moves out of Bangalore, the mode matters as much as the distance. A shared truck (part load) carries your goods along with other customers' consignments, so it costs less but delivery depends on the route schedule. A dedicated truck is reserved for the accepted inventory and is quoted separately, with dispatch and any transfer or last-mile handling confirmed. The table follows the linked route guides. What Actually Changes Your Moving Cost

• Inventory, not the BHK label. A 2 BHK with a sofa set, two wardrobes, a dining table and a home office is a different load from a 2 BHK with basic furniture.
• Packing scope. Full packing costs more than you packing yourself, but it also saves a lot of breakage and time.
• Floors and lift. No lift, a small lift, or a lift that cannot take a fridge or a sofa means more carrying by stairs.
• Distance from vehicle to door. If the truck has to stop on the main road because of a narrow lane or basement height, the carry distance or a shuttle vehicle adds to the cost.
• Vehicle size and number of trips. Decided by your load and by what can reach both buildings.
• Date. Month-end, weekends and festival periods are in more demand.
• Fragile and high-value items. Glass tables, large TVs, artwork, idols and antiques may need special packing or a crate.
• Cover, GST, toll and storage. Shown separately in the quote so you know what each part costs.

Planning Access at Both Buildings

A move has two ends, and each building has its own rules. Many delays on moving day happen not because of packing but because something at the new building wasn't checked: the lift was booked for another family, security wanted a letter, or the truck could not enter the basement. Use this worksheet for both addresses and share it with us.

Timings and rules differ from society to society, and they change, so please confirm them with each building directly. We'll plan the crew and the packing day around whatever slot you get. If a slot is too short for your inventory, we'll tell you before booking and suggest packing a day earlier so the slot day is only for loading.

High-rise flats vs independent houses

In apartment towers, the lift and the loading area decide the pace. Large wardrobes and beds are dismantled in the flat itself so they fit in the lift. In independent houses and older buildings in the cross roads, the staircase is usually the bottleneck: narrow turns, low ceilings near the landing, a heavy fridge going down three floors. For these, we need photos of the staircase while quoting so the crew size and carrying charges are clear upfront.

Arekere, Hulimavu and Gottigere Interior Lanes

Some lanes off the main road are narrow, have sharp turns, or have cars parked on both sides through the day. We don't decide the truck size by BHK alone. Before the move, we ask for a short video from the main road to your gate, or our team checks the route during the survey.

• If a bigger truck can come to the gate, that is usually the cheapest option because it needs fewer trips.
• If it can't, a smaller vehicle comes in, or the bigger truck waits on the main road and a small vehicle shuttles between.
• Sometimes the only practical way is to carry items a short distance on foot. That is mentioned in the quote with its charge, not added on the day.
• Agree a lawful stopping point that keeps neighbour access and emergency routes clear; do not assume an unloading vehicle may block the lane.

Campus, Hospital Staff and PG Moves

The road has a lot of people moving for work or study: students and staff, doctors and nurses working near Apollo, Fortis or Jayadeva, and young professionals in PGs around Bilekahalli and Arekere.

• IIM Bangalore and other campuses: IIM Bangalore's own address is on Bannerghatta Road. If you are moving in or out of campus housing or a hostel, the institute's estate or hostel office decides vehicle entry and timing. Get that permission in writing and share it with us. We are a private moving company and are not connected with any institute.
• Hospital staff accommodation: Staff quarters and nearby rentals often have their own entry rules. Shift timings matter too, so tell us when you are free and we'll plan around it.
• PG and shared flats: Make sure the owner or PG manager knows the date. Your items should be packed separately from flatmates' items and listed by name, so nothing gets mixed up at delivery.

Work-from-Home and Office Shifting

For many families, the home office is the one thing that has to work on day one. A few things help:

• Back up your laptop and important data before the move. Obtain the authorised owner or IT team’s release for company devices and follow approved backup and shutdown procedures. Carry critical devices as the owner advises, with confidential records and passwords kept by the owner.
• We photograph the cable connections behind the desk before disconnecting, and label each cable and adapter.
• Monitors go in cartons with padding, upright. Original boxes are the best if you still have them.
• For a UPS, motorised standing desk, monitor arm or ergonomic chair, share the model and follow compatible packing or qualified preparation. Do not disconnect batteries, open a desk motor or dismantle complex equipment without appropriate guidance.
• Pack a "first working day" box: router, power strip, chargers, headset, mouse and keyboard. Keep essential working items with you; agree accessible loading and delivery placement for the remaining desk items.

For small offices and clinics, we usually move in phases so work stops for the shortest time. Your IT person should disconnect servers and networking equipment and reconnect them at the new place. If your building allows moving only after office hours or on Sundays, share the permission with us and we'll plan the date around it.

Moving with Elderly Parents or Young Children

• Keep medicines, prescriptions, a torch and a change of clothes in a bag that goes with the family, not on the truck.
• Ask us to set up the beds first at the new place so the first night is not spent on the floor.
• If someone uses a walker or wheelchair, tell us so that the passage and the bathroom path are kept clear when we place furniture.
• Puja items, idols and brass are packed separately and can be handed to you directly if you prefer to carry them yourself.

Rain, Traffic and Scheduling

Check current weather forecasts for the actual moving dates. On rainy days, packed cartons and mattresses should not wait in an open driveway. We cover the loaded goods and plan the loading close to the gate or under a covered area wherever the building allows. Check the forecast a day before and keep a dry staging spot ready, like the parking or the lobby, if the building permits it.

Traffic around Dairy Circle, the Jayadeva junction and the Silk Board side is usually heavy during office hours, and weekend evenings near the malls get crowded. Goods vehicle timings set by the traffic police can also change. We check the current advisory for the vehicle allotted to your move and suggest a start time based on your two buildings' slots. We won't promise a fixed travel time because the road on the day decides that.

If Your New Flat's Keys Aren't Ready

It happens often: the landlord's painting isn't done, or the possession date shifts by a week. Tell us as early as possible. The options are:

• Short wait: ask whether a short wait can be accepted and agree any waiting charge and revised unloading slot.
• Storage: goods are kept in storage for a few days or weeks, if space is available. Storage rate, handling in and out, and redelivery are quoted separately.
• Staged delivery: essentials go first to a temporary place, and the rest come later.

Get the storage terms in writing, including who has access, how goods are listed, and how much notice is needed for redelivery.

1. Survey: video call or home visit. We look at the items, the lift, the stairs and the parking.
2. Written quote: itemised, with scope, extras that apply, and payment terms.
3. Booking: date and time slot confirmed. You arrange the NOC and lift booking; we share vehicle and crew details for security.
4. Packing: room by room. Each carton is labelled with the room name and a number.
5. Inventory and condition record: items listed, existing scratches or dents on furniture noted, photos of high-value items taken before loading.
6. Loading and transport: heavy items at the base, cartons above. For intercity moves, you get a docket number to check status.
7. Unloading and placement: furniture placed in the rooms you tell us, beds and wardrobes reassembled.
8. Closing check: you check the inventory, note any issue on the delivery receipt, and sign.

Packing Materials We Use

Material is chosen for each type of item, and your quote says what will be used.

• Cartons of different sizes for kitchen, books, clothes and electronics
• Bubble wrap and foam sheets for glass, crockery, TVs and monitors
• Finish-compatible soft first layers, cushioning and outer protection for sofas, tables and wooden furniture; avoid adhesive or unsuitable film against sensitive surfaces
• Paper and cloth wraps for brass, silverware and puja items
• Plastic sheets for mattresses and for covering goods in the rain
• Wooden crating for very delicate items like large glass tops or artwork, charged separately

Condition Records, Labels and Delivery

• Room map: give us a simple note of which room is where in the new flat. Labels match that note so cartons go straight to the right room.
• Main and backup receiver: tell us who will receive the goods and one backup name and number, in case you are stuck at office or in traffic.
• Preferred language: let us know if an elderly parent is receiving the goods and prefers Kannada, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu or English on calls, so we can tell you who in our team will coordinate.
• Tracking: for intercity moves, the docket number with our WhatsApp status-request option lets you prepare a WhatsApp status request. It does not display an automatic shipment lookup or live GPS location.
• Damage or missing items: mention it on the delivery receipt and send us photos. For an issue discovered during later unpacking, retain packaging and labels, photograph the item and report promptly in writing with docket and inventory references under the applicable terms. Ask about the cover available, declared value, exclusions and claim process before you book, not after.

• Keep jewellery, cash and important papers with you, not in the truck.
• Share vehicle and crew details with your security desk.
