"Near Orion Mall", "behind ISKCON" or "next to the metro station" helps a driver find the area. It does not tell us where a loaded truck can legally stop, or which gate goods should go through. Before we fix the vehicle size and crew, we ask for the full address and a few access details at both ends.

Dr Rajkumar Road: Office Pickup vs Home Pickup
A lot of moves from this side start at a workplace rather than a house. Offices in the Brigade Gateway campus on Dr Rajkumar Road, for example, carry a Malleshwaram West 560055 address. If you are clearing a desk or a small office there and your home is in Rajajinagar, treat them as two separate pickups. The office address does not tell us anything about your residential building, and the mall or main reception is usually not where goods are allowed to come out.

- Asset release: which laptops, monitors and chairs belong to the company and which are yours.

Moving House and Shop Together
Many families here run a shop or small business close to home, and both get shifted at once. Mixing them in one truck without a plan is how stock goes missing and household cartons land in the shop. We split the job into separate lists, each with its own labels, packing and receiver.

Pricing, packing and the receiver at the other end are fixed per group. That way the shop list can go to the shop address on the same day without confusion.
Workshop machines from the Industrial Town side are not ordinary household load. Before quoting we need the machine's size and weight, manufacturer-compatible preparation, containment/draining where required and safe disconnection by a qualified person. Some machines need a rigging assessment and lifting equipment. If a job is outside what we can do safely, we will tell you so plainly. We don't move hazardous stock.
Can Your Modular Kitchen or Hydraulic Bed Be Reused?
People often want to take the modular kitchen and the hydraulic bed to the new flat. Sometimes it works well. Sometimes the cabinets are particle board that won't survive a second assembly, or the new kitchen is a different shape. So we check first.
- Assessment: a carpenter looks at the brand or model, board material, joints, hinges and channels, and the overall condition.
- New room size: you send the new kitchen's wall lengths, window and sink position. If the layout doesn't match, reuse may mean cutting or new panels.
- Numbering: panels, shutters and fittings are numbered and bagged together so nothing gets mixed up.
- Hydraulic beds: the bed box and frame are dismantled as per the model. We don't routinely remove or refit gas pistons; if the model needs that, it is done by someone qualified for that make.
Removal, refit, wall repair after removal, new consumables (screws, hinges, edge strips) and transport are quoted as separate tasks so you can see each cost. Gas, chimney, hob and electrical reconnection is not part of our work. Arrange gas through the supplier or an appropriate authorised service, and electrical or appliance work separately with qualified help.
Old kitchenware and delicate items
Steel and brass vessels, silver pooja items, glassware and old crockery each need different handling. Assess a clean, non-abrasive and non-reactive first layer for the actual silver, brass or finished surface, keeping adhesive off it. Glasses and cups go into divided cartons with paper between each piece. Heavy vessels are packed in small cartons so the box doesn't sag. There is no single "four layers for everything" method; the packing is matched to the surface.
Old Independent House to a Lift Apartment: Will It Fit?
A family moving from an old house in the blocks to a new apartment usually has tall almirahs, a heavy stone or glass dining table, a big cot or a showcase. The new building's gate, lift and stair turns decide what goes in as it is, what gets dismantled, and what is better sold or given away. Fill this up before the survey.

If an item cannot go through safely, we tell you before moving day. Lifting from outside the building with ropes or equipment is not automatic; it is assessed for that building and agreed separately. We never drag heavy furniture across floors or stairs.
It also helps to decide one room that must be ready on the first night (usually the kitchen or the elders' room), who will receive goods at the new flat, and which family member decides what goes where.

What these ranges assume: standard packing material, one suitable vehicle, loading and unloading, basic cot and table dismantling, ground-floor access or a working lift suitable for the assessed items, and the truck standing within about 30 metres of the entrance. Stair carry without a usable lift, long carries, a shuttle vehicle for narrow crosses, modular kitchen work, AC uninstall by a technician, waiting time and society charges are added separately. What pushes the price up or down
- Volume, not just BHK: a 2BHK with a full kitchen, two almirahs and a showcase is closer to a 3BHK job.
- Floors and carry: every floor without a lift and every extra metre of carry adds labour time.
- Road access: if a big truck can't enter your cross, goods are shuttled in a smaller vehicle, which adds a trip.
- Packing level: you can pack clothes and books yourself and leave fragile and furniture packing to us.
- Date: ask about available dates and accepted totals for the same scope; there is no automatic weekday discount.

Best Time to Shift and Rainy Day Planning
Mid-month weekdays are usually easier to book than month-end and weekends, when most rentals change hands. Morning starts give more daylight for unloading and refitting on the same day. For buildings with fixed goods-movement hours, those hours decide the slot.
Bangalore's evening showers can arrive without much warning in the rainy months. On such days cartons are kept under a covered area until the truck is ready, the truck floor is lined, and a tarpaulin covers the loading gap. Mattresses and electronics are wrapped in plastic as an extra layer.
Transit Cover, Condition Report and Claims
Report visible damage or shortages on the delivery receipt with photographs and item numbers, and notify the booking contact promptly. If a problem appears during later unpacking, report it and retain packing and documents under the actual policy’s notice and claim requirements.
Good packing is the first protection. Transit cover is a separate option that you can ask for in the estimate, especially for intercity moves. Ask for the declared value basis, premium, what is excluded (for example items you packed yourself, or normal wear) and the claim steps.
- Before loading: note existing marks on furniture and appliances on the inventory.
- At delivery: write any damage or missing carton number on the delivery receipt and take photos then and there.
- If something is found while unpacking later, inform us quickly with photos and the carton number. Late-found issues are checked against the cover terms you accepted.
Storage Between Moves
If the new flat isn't ready on the day you vacate, ask us about short-term holding. Before you agree, check the per-day or per-month charge, whether you can access your goods in between, how redelivery is charged, and what condition check happens on the way in and the way out.
