Things that change the cost
Volume and weight come first. A 2 BHK with a five-seater wooden sofa, a king-size cot and a large fridge needs more truck space than a 2 BHK with light, modular furniture. Distance, Route and Realistic Delivery Days
Google Maps shows more than one way from Bangalore to Tirupati, roughly between 259 km and 285 km. Selected driving options observed were about 263 km via NE7, 259 km via NH71 and 285 km via NE7/NH140. These map options do not by themselves establish permission or suitability for the allotted goods vehicle. A car can do the drive in about 4 to 5 hours. A loaded goods truck is a different story: it drives slower, takes the corridor that is permitted and practical for its size on that day, and stops for driver rest. So please don't plan your new house handover on the car timing.

City localities
Areas like Renigunta, Tiruchanur, Balaji Colony and Srinivasa Nagar each have their own mix of main roads and inner streets. In the older town areas, around Govindaraja Swamy temple, Kapila Teertham and the roads towards Alipiri, lanes can be narrow and busy with pilgrim traffic. In such cases the main truck may have to stop at a wider point and goods may need to be carried or moved in a smaller vehicle for the last stretch. If that is likely, we tell you during the survey and put it in the quote, so there is no surprise on the day.
IIT Tirupati campus at Yerpedu
A delivery to IIT Tirupati is not the same as a delivery to a flat in Tirupati city. The campus is on Yerpedu–Venkatagiri Road, Yerpedu Post, Tirupati District, Andhra Pradesh 517619, some distance from the main city. For a campus move we need:
- Exact department, hostel or staff quarter block and unit number
- Which gate goods vehicles use, and the allowed time for unloading
- Name and phone number of the person receiving the goods
- Any entry permission or vehicle pass the campus asks for
Office hours of the institute do not automatically mean unloading is allowed in that time, so please confirm the slot with your estate or hostel office. We are not affiliated with any campus; we simply plan around whatever the campus allows. The same approach applies to university, hospital and institute quarters elsewhere in the district.
Tirumala hill addresses
If your delivery address is on Tirumala hill, tell us right at the start. Goods vehicle movement up the hill is controlled, and what is allowed can change. We will only confirm a Tirumala delivery after the vehicle, the permitted route and the receiving arrangement are clear for your date. We do not offer pilgrimage or darshan packages and we have no tie-up with TTD.
Packing Puja Items, Idols and Family Heirlooms
Many homes moving to Tirupati carry a full puja room: brass and bronze idols, kuthu vilakku and other lamps, copper kalashas, silver articles, framed deity photos with glass, and sometimes marble or stone idols that are heavy and old. - We record the condition. Photos of important pieces before packing, especially anything already cracked or repaired, so both sides know the state before the move.
- We ask about your family's preferences. Some families want the main idol wrapped in their own cloth, packed in a certain way, or carried by a family member in the car. We follow what you are comfortable with.
- Detachable parts are packed separately and labelled with the main piece, so nothing goes missing.
- Lamps are emptied and wiped before packing so oil doesn't leak onto other items.
- Glass frames are packed upright with corner protection and a rigid board over the glass, and kept away from heavy cartons.
- Heavy stone or marble pieces are assessed for weight and may need a wooden crate or extra handlers. We'll tell you if a piece needs specialist handling we don't provide.

Tirupati gets very crowded during big festival periods like Brahmotsavam (usually around September–October), Vaikunta Ekadasi (December–January) and long holiday weekends. On those dates, city roads near the temple areas and towards Alipiri can be slow for any vehicle. These dates change every year, so we check the calendar for your specific moving week rather than following a fixed "best day" rule.
The north-east monsoon also brings rain to this region roughly from October to December. If your move falls in this window, we keep plastic covering on mattresses, sofas and electronics, and plan a covered spot to stage goods during unloading if rain starts.
Storage and Holding When Keys Are Not Ready
It happens often: the Bangalore flat has to be vacated on the 30th, but the Tirupati house won't be ready for another week. Ask whether holding or short-term storage is available for your actual inventory and dates before committing to a delivery change. Transit cover is optional. If you want it, you declare the value of your goods, and we share the available cover, its terms, exclusions and the claim process in writing before the move.
